Liberian war amputee and polio victim receive PET carts through partnership with Global Aid Network

Weah Won (left), a former Armed Forces of Liberia Soldier, who was amputated by his captors (rebel forces) during the 1990 civil crises, has been moving about in a wheel chair. When the cart was given to him through Dr. Emmanuel Akenyibah (a board member of GCML/GAIN) Weah was so thankful that tears set his eyes. He hardly could express himself.

Abraham Kaingbay (right), a worker at the internal affairs has been with polio since 1965. His wheel chair had become old and he was wondering where to get a better one. When he was contacted by Dr. Akinyibah to come to the Malak Clinic to pick up a cart he least expected what it was. He dressed in his best and came. On receiving the cart he literally cried and repeatedly said thank U, thank U, and thank U.

Thailand diabetic amputee receives PET cart

Nyecom Garunpat age 74 was brought to us by a neighbor after having his left leg amputated below the knee resulting from diabetes. Nyecom lives alone and wanted to access his church which he said was too far from his home to walk using his artificial limb.

The PET cart answered his prayers.

God loves persons with disabilities!!!

Beloved, join me to celebrate God's love for persons with disabilities in Nigeria who are blessed with 231 PET Wheelchairs. We did the first donation ceremony yesterday for those in Eastern Nigeria where 140 mobility challenged persons smiled home with means of mobility. It was an awesome and successful program. AWESOME!!! Join me also to pray for the success of our next donation ceremony on Friday October 19th at Lagos western Nigeria. PET INTERNATIONAL , US NAVY HANDCLASP PROJECT AND US EMBASSY IN NIGERIA, we are grateful. We love you!!

PET photo from Advantage Program in Les Cayes, Haiti

This picture is of Maxene, our PET cart assembly/modification person. I have been putting together a file of our PET cart users, but have just gotten overwhelmed with the other aspects of the work.

We just moved to a new location right in downtown Les Cayes. We are  much more visible and accessible and therefore more busy. It is fun seeing people out and about in their PET carts. The mobility allows persons with disabilities who have the strength to propel the cart to go to school, do small business, and generally get out of their house or yard and interact with the community.
